Due season.

Galatians 6:9-10, And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up. So then, as we have opportunity, let us do good to everyone, and especially to those who are of the household of faith.

This can be difficult, because it involves people, and even people of faith! People who are sometimes offensive and we would rather not bother with them. Difficult because we sometimes try to do what Oswald Chambers calls being “amateur providences” trying to save someone from exactly what God is providing for them to learn and grow. And we must depend upon God’s good timing, not being like the one who prayed “God give me patience and give it to me right now!” We must trust in his promise that if any of us lacks wisdom we should ask God, knowing that he will be pleased to grant it when we ask in faith, not wavering!

Give us wisdom and discernment with each person that you have placed our life that we may do good without becoming weary, that you may bring forth your harvest of righteousness in Your good timing!
