God’s kindness.

Romans 2:3-4, Do you suppose, O man—you who judge those who practice such things and yet do them yourself—that you will escape the judgment of God? Or do you presume on the riches of his kindness and forbearance and patience, not knowing that God’s kindness is meant to lead you to repentance?

We take every breath by the common grace of God, who does not desire that any should perish and that all should come to repentance and know him and his great mercy towards us in Jesus Christ. We see his grace early in the garden, when they turned against God and sought to become like God, he spared them from death and even covered them with clothing. Even now he sings over us and desires that we seek to know him better each day! As we observe those who practice evil, might we not use it to examine ourselves and then to intercede for those who do not yet know the good news of Jesus Christ?

Thank you for the grace given to each of us, that you have spared our lives that we may know you better every day by the blood of sacrifice of our Lord Jesus Christ!
