Worthy of His calling.

1 Thessalonians 1:11-12, To this end we always pray for you, that our God may make you worthy of his calling and may fulfill every resolve for good and every work of faith by his power, so that the name of our Lord Jesus may be glorified in you, and you in him, according to the grace of our God and the Lord Jesus Christ.

Even in persecution, the believers were proclaiming the name of Jesus in “works of faith by his power.” No matter what happens, He is in control and He has given us His Holy Spirit that His name may be glorified in us. Only by His power are we worthy.

Fill us with Your Holy Spirit to bring glory to Your name in all that we do and say!
