The Lord is not slow.

2 Peter 3:9, The Lord is not slow to fulfill his promise as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should reach repentance.

As Peter says, scoffers abound. It’s amazing how much energy some people expend denying a God who supposedly doesn’t exist. Only by His grace have we come to know Him, and we boast only in what He has done. We can tell of what He has done for us through the cross, and that even now He lives and intercedes for us. Are we praying for others to come to know Him, and willing to be His witnesses?

Give us Your compassion for those who do not know You; use us to be Your witnesses as we intercede before Your throne of grace!
