When He suffered.

1 Peter 2:23, When he was reviled, he did not revile in return; when he suffered, he did not threaten, but continued entrusting himself to him who judges justly.

I know that when I am wronged, my natural response is to revile or threaten; even on the highway, I when someone cuts me off! Peter urges us to live in the freedom of God’s grace, even if suffering might come. I know that I need His grace to do this!

We thank You that by Your stripes we are healed, we lay our burdens down at the foot of Your cross!
