Eyewitnesses of his majesty.
2 Peter 2:16, For we did not follow cleverly devised myths when we made known to you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but we were eyewitnesses of his majesty.
Peter is very clear about the fact of the gospel and the reality of what He has done for us, even though Peter is about to be put to death for his own faith. He and others were eyewitnesses of the glory of Christ on the mountain top, and unwilling to recant their faith to escape a torturous death. Who do you say that He is?
We join with Peter in declaring “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God!”
