Leave them for the needy and the alien.
Leviticus 23:22, “‘When you reap the harvest of your land, moreover, you shall not reap to the very corners of your field, nor gather the gleaning of your harvest; you are to leave them for the needy and the alien. I am the Lord your God.’”
We see the Lord’s compassion for the needy in this requirement to leave the corners of the fields for the needy and the alien. He has compassion for us as well, for we needy even though we don’t always recognize it. But when we do recognize our need and come to Him, we find His abundant provision in His word, fulfilled by Jesus through His Holy Spirit.
We thank You for Your abundant provision for us; we want to use Your gifts to bless others.
