Generous and ready to share.

1 Timothy 6:17-19, Instruct those who are rich in this present world not to be conceited or to fix their hope on the uncertainty of riches, but on God, who richly supplies us with all things to enjoy. Instruct them to do good, to be rich in good works, to be generous and ready to share, storing up for themselves the treasure of a good foundation for the future, so that they may take hold of that which is life indeed.

Many of us fit this description; we are blessed in so many ways in this present world. By the standard of having food and covering, we are indeed blessed. As we receive from His hand, we are to be good stewards, seeking ways to bless others with what He gives us. And in so doing, we store up treasure that can never be taken away. And He tells us that where our treasure is, there will our heart be also!

Give us Your priorities as we seek to build Your kingdom with all that You have entrusted to us, Lord.
