The food which endures to eternal life.

John 6:26-28, Jesus answered them and said, “Truly, truly, I say to you, you seek Me, not because you saw signs, but because you ate of the loaves, and were filled. Do not work for the food which perishes, but for the food which endures to eternal life, which the Son of Man shall give to you, for on Him the Father, even God, has set His seal.”

We think of work as something that brings value to us, both in terms of income and satisfaction. Jesus wants us to believe in Him as our “work.” And in believing in Him, He wants us to draw closer to Him, to receive His cleansing touch and His direction. If work in our daily lives is both rewarding and fulfilling, we can expect infinitely more from Him!

Thank You for the food which endures to eternal life, feed us with Your bread of Heaven!
