If any man is thirsty.

John 7:37-39, Now on the last day, the great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried out, saying, “If any man is thirsty, let him come to Me and drink. He who believes in Me, as the Scripture said, ‘From his innermost being shall flow rivers of living water.’” But this He spoke of the Spirit, whom those who believed in Him were to receive; for the Spirit was not yet given, because Jesus was not yet glorified.

It seems that when we realize that we are really thirsty for water, we are almost in trouble. In order to stay healthy, we have to remember to drink when we don’t think we really need it. And this is even truer spiritually, for indeed we live in a dry and thirsty land. We live in a time when He has sent His Spirit that we may drink freely!

Lord, I want to drink that rivers of Your living water may flow!
