Take hold of that which is life indeed.

1 Timothy 6:17-19, Instruct those who are rich in this present world not to be conceited or to fix their hope on the uncertainty of riches, but on God, who richly supplies us with all things to enjoy. Instruct them to do good, to be rich in good works, to be generous and ready to share, storing up for themselves the treasure of a good foundation for the future, so that they may take hold of that which is life indeed.

Most of us are rich by the standard of having food and covering. How easy it is to be distracted by the things of this world, and miss out on the best that God has for us, to be a blessing to others. For in so doing, we are storing up a treasure that can never perish. The things of this world will pass away, but His kingdom is forever!

Lord, keep us focused on that which is life indeed, that in being blessed we are able to bless others.
