Wisdom that leads to salvation.

2 Timothy 3:12-15, And indeed, all who desire to live godly in Christ Jesus will be persecuted. But evil men and impostors will proceed from bad to worse, deceiving and being deceived. You, however, continue in the things you have learned and become convinced of, knowing from whom you have learned them; and that from childhood you have known the sacred writings which are able to give you the wisdom that leads to salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.

Paul makes it clear that there’s no immunity to persecution. This was clearly a fact of life in the early day church and in many parts of the world today. And amazingly, the church grew and prospered even as they were persecuted. We should not be surprised if that happens even here where we are blessed to have freedom of religion. We have the wisdom that leads to salvation!

We thank You that You are faithful even when the deceivers and imposters seem to have the upper hand, O Lord; give us Your wisdom and endurance.
