The cross of Christ.
1 Corinthians 1:17, For Christ did not send me to baptize, but to preach the gospel, not in cleverness of speech, that the cross of Christ should not be made void.
It’s good to be reminded that it’s not because we are so clever that people might come to know Jesus. It’s because of His divine calling and the power of the cross of Christ. As Paul goes on to say that to the world, the cross is foolishness, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God. We don’t have to be clever; we just have to be available and allow Him to use us!
We thank You that salvation doesn’t depend upon anyone but Your grace and the power of Your cross, Lord Jesus!
