The one who baptizes in the Holy Spirit.

John 1:32-34, And John bore witness saying, “I have beheld the Spirit descending as a dove out of heaven, and He remained upon Him. And I did not recognize Him, but He who sent me to baptize in water said to me, ‘He upon whom you see the Spirit descending and remaining upon Him, this is the one who baptizes in the Holy Spirit.’ And I have seen, and have borne witness that this is the Son of God.”

Scripture is very clear about who Jesus is, the Son of God. And we see more of who He is, for the Holy Spirit descended as a dove, and remained upon Him not only so that John could recognize Him, but also so that He would be identified as the “one who baptizes in the Holy Spirit” We have His promise that He will grant the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him!

Baptize us in Your Holy Spirit according to Your promises, O Lord!
