Giving thanks to Him.
Luke 17:15-16, Now one of them, when he saw that he had been healed, turned back, glorifying God with a loud voice, and he fell on his face at His feet, giving thanks to Him. And he was a Samaritan.
It seems that the other nine recognized their duty to show themselves to the priest, and in so doing to keep the law, over thankfulness. Only one of the ten, and that one a Samaritan, gave immediate glory to God, returning to thank Jesus for what He had done. How many times do we accept a blessing, taking it for granted without even offering a silent prayer of thanks? What if we expressed our thankfulness as did this man?
We thank You for your grace even when we are thankless; remind us to give thanks at every moment for all that You have done and are doing and will do for us!
