Preserve the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace
Ephesians 4:1-3, I, THEREFORE, the prisoner of the Lord, entreat you to walk in a manner worthy of the calling with which you have been called, with all humility and gentleness, with patience, showing forbearance to one another in love, being diligent to preserve the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.
We live in a very competitive world. It’s far to easy to transfer that competitive spirit over to the spiritual world; we must leave that behind with our brothers and sisters in Christ! It’s far too easy to be short with those we should love and respect the most. Then again, what does that say for the others in our lives? Shouldn’t we show them the forbearance of Christ as well?
Help me, Lord, for I am weak; I need Your strength to show You love to everyone I meet, know and work with today.
