Tribulations on your behalf.
Ephesians 3:13, Therefore I ask you not to lose heart at my tribulations on your behalf, for they are your glory.
Jesus tells us that we can expect trouble in this world, “but take courage; I have overcome the world.” Do we really have Paul’s attitude that even tribulation is for God’s purpose? Paul knew those for whom he was suffering, and that suffering has blessed thousands of generations through the scripture he wrote. Do we who are accustomed to such comfort have what it takes to take courage even in the face of tribulation?
Lord, increase our faith; thank You that we have Your promise that You will never leave us nor forsake us for all our hope is in You!
