Love one another.

2 John 1:5-6, And now I ask you, lady, not as writing to you a new commandment, but the one which we have had from the beginning, that we love one another. And this is love, that we walk according to His commandments. This is the commandment, just as you have heard from the beginning, that you should walk in it.

John keeps it very simple; to do all that we do in love. Unfortunately I do far too many things in irritation, not love. When I get irritated with a situation, I tend to react. I need His help every day to learn to be quiet, to listen for His still small voice, to overcome my irritation and see His purpose behind it.

Lord, I need Your help, for I am so easily irritated; help me to remember to stop and listen for Your still, small voice leading me into keeping Your commandments and to bring Your love into every situation.
