He first loved us.

1 John 4:19-21, We love, because He first loved us. If someone says, “I love God,” and hates his brother, he is a liar; for the one who does not love his brother whom he has seen, cannot love God whom he has not seen. And this commandment we have from Him, that the one who loves God should love his brother also.

Without Him and His love, we are separated from God and doomed. With His love through His cross, He reached out across the abyss in love to become the way, the truth and the life for us. And now, we have Him to help us touch others with His amazing love. How can we bring His love to others today?

We thank You that it is not our works of righteousness that saves us, rather our works flow out of Your mighty saving grace towards us by the power of Your Holy Spirit; Come, Holy Spirit!
