According to His great mercy has caused us.

1 Peter 1:3-5, Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His great mercy has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, to obtain an inheritance which is imperishable and undefiled and will not fade away, reserved in heaven for you, who are protected by the power of God through faith for a salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.

Peter makes it clear, it’s all about God. He has caused us to be born again, it is He who sent His Son to the cross and He who raised Him from the dead. It is His promise that assures and preserves our eternal inheritance that is free forever from corruption! And it is He who protects us even now by His mighty power. Why would we want to worry about anything under the sun with promises like this?

We are stripped of any pride as we come to You recognizing that You have given us even the gift of faith itself, and we praise You and thank You for all that You have done!
