The sting of death is sin.

1 Corinthians 15;56-58, The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law; but thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

Death came through Adam, and sin immediately followed as he hid, separated from God. And later, sin was empowered by the giving of the law, for though we see by the law that we continually sin, the law gives us no power to overcome. Fortunately, God sought Adam even in the garden, and in His amazing plan He has given us Jesus Christ. For it is only in Him that we overcome the power of sin and death. He has destroyed forever our separation from God, that we may turn to Him!

I want to turn to You at every opportunity, Lord Jesus, to walk in the good works You have prepared for today.
