United by faith.

Hebrews 4:1-2, THEREFORE, let us fear lest, while a promise remains of entering His rest, any one of you should seem to have come short of it. For indeed we have had good news preached to us, just as they also; but the word they heard did not profit them, because it was not united by faith in those who heard.

This is the good kind of fear, the fear that we might miss out on all that He has promised us. There were twelve spies sent into the land, and the majority came back without faith that God would be faithful to do what He promised to do. We who hear the word, are we hearers only and not doers?

Thank You for laying out the good works that I may walk in them; help me to be not only hearing Your word but also doing what You command!
