He wanted no one to know of it.

Mark 7:24, And from there He arose and went away to the region of Tyre. And when He had entered a house, He wanted no one to know of it; yet He could not escape notice.

We think of Jesus as He is in glory, not as He was during His time on earth. He really did get tired, hungry and thirsty; He needed rest just as we do. As one of my teachers observed, He did what He did by the power of the Holy Spirit, and He has made that power available to every believer. That’s not to say that we won’t get overwhelmed, tired, hungry, thirsty and perhaps frustrated at times!

We thank You for rest, good food and drink and especially for Your Holy Spirit who empowers all that we do!
