How, he himself does not know

Mark 4:26-27, And He was saying, "The kingdom of God is like a man who casts seed upon the soil; and goes to bed at night and gets up by day, and the seed sprouts up and grows—how, he himself does not know."

We take miracles for granted. Plant a seed at the right time, with the right temperature, sunlight, water and a plant comes up. Plant a bean and you get a beanstalk, and if you can keep the worms away, you get more beans than you planted. People have spent whole careers on figuring out how this works, how to make the best beans, and it’s still largely a miracle! We are given a part in God’s marvelous plan, and he tells us it’s just like beans, plant one in the right soil, water it, make sure it has enough light and there will be a harvest!
