Perfect peace.

Isaiah 26:3, "The steadfast of mind Thou wilt keep in perfect peace, because he trusts in Thee."

Several years ago one of my teachers recommended this as a verse to memorize, to build into our thinking as a core verse. He also reminded us over and over that "the battle of faith is fought in the mind." This battle is relentless, thought it may ebb and flow, we must always be ready to "take every thought captive." This short verse can easily come to our aid to remind us that He is more steadfast than a rock and always available to us.

We seek Your perfect peace by staying our minds on You in trust, O Lord!
