A costly cornerstone.

Isaiah 28:16, Therefore thus says the Lord God, “Behold, I am laying in Zion a stone, a tested stone, a costly cornerstone for the foundation, firmly placed. He who believes in it will not be disturbed.”

It seems that when evil abounds, God moves to bring forth His plan. In a world bent on evil, only one man built an ark that the flood waters of justice might save him and his family. And in a world where the Lamb of God came healing the sick, preaching the good news and raising the dead, the world stopped up its ears in rage calling out to “Crucify Him.” So even in a day when “each one does what is right in his own eyes,” we can take heart; He who is the “tested stone,” is indeed firmly placed. And we who believe on Him need not be disturbed.

We thank You for the good news of the cross, that You have taken on the sin of the world to set us free!
