A remnant will return.

Isaiah 10:20, Now it will come about in that day that the remnant of Israel, and those of the house of Jacob who have escaped, will never again rely on the one who struck them, but will truly rely on the Lord, the Holy One of Israel. A remnant will return, the remnant of Jacob, to the mighty God.

Even in this complete destruction, God preserved a faithful remnant, as in the days of Noah when only a tiny remnant remained. His purposes are always higher than ours, His ways are beyond our imagination. We have His promise that His word will not return void, and we are blessed beyond measure to have His word in this sin sick world.

Help us to plant the seed of Your word where it will produce good fruit and bring forth glory to Your name, Lord.
