Unto us a child is born.

Isaiah 9:6-7, For a child will be born to us, a son will be given to us; and the government will rest on His shoulders; and His name will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Eternal Father, Prince of Peace. There will be no end to the increase of His government or of peace, on the throne of David and over his kingdom, to establish it and to uphold it with justice and righteousness from then on and forevermore. The zeal of the Lord of hosts will accomplish this.

We have been blessed, staying with an old friend from years ago, who told us of one very intelligent physician guest who said “All religions are basically the same, aren’t they?” My friend was able to share with him the good news, that indeed there is one that is very different, that no man could ever have invented. For what man would ever have imagined that God departed His glory, came as a vulnerable infant, lived as one of us in perfect harmony with His Father, and then became the perfect sacrifice to break forever the death grip of sin upon our race? Indeed, “The zeal of the Lord of hosts will accomplish this.”

We thank You that You did not abandon us to what we deserver, but came to rescue us! Give us the opportunity to tell others of Your good news!
