Take and eat it.

Revelation 10:9, So I went to the angel and told him to give me the little scroll. And he said to me, “Take and eat it; it will make your stomach bitter, but in your mouth it will be sweet as honey.”

There is great sweetness in God’s word for those who believe, who are called according to His purpose, and His word is to be like a wonderful feast, incorporated into our body as we eat it. And yet His judgments are real, and bitter to those who have heard His call and yet have rejected Him. We who have heard His voice and who have received Him have been given the right to become children of God, born not of the flesh but of the will of God. He has put His spirit within us; are we listening with a willingness to obey Him?

Breathe on us breath of God, that we may be carried forth on the wind of Your Spirit!
