He conversed with them a long while.

Acts 20:11, And when Paul had gone up and had broken bread and eaten, he conversed with them a long while, until daybreak, and so departed.

Paul had already talked to them on the Lord’s day, until midnight when the young man became drowsy, fell from the third story window, and was raised from the dead by Paul. Even though he had to leave later that day, he continued to speak with these believers until daybreak. What would this be like, to be so fervent for the Lord and His word that we would listen to His word all night?

We long for Your word to burn in our hearts as it did in this time and place!
