For the glory of God.

Romans 15:4-7, For whatever was written in former days was written for our instruction, that through endurance and through the encouragement of the Scriptures we might have hope. May the God of endurance and encouragement grant you to live in such harmony with one another, in accord with Christ Jesus, that together you may with one voice glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore welcome one another as Christ has welcomed you, for the glory of God.

We are to encourage each other, and be encouraged by others. Even better, our ultimate encouragement comes from the God of endurance and encouragement! He has given us the living Word Jesus Christ, who became sin for us that we might be the righteousness of God. And He has left His written word in the scriptures to encourage us that we might endure. We have His hope, as an anchor for the soul, safe and secure! Who can we welcome into His grace, mercy and favor today?

Thank You for welcoming us; may we welcome others for God’s glory in Your name, O Lord!
