Outdo one another in showing honor.
Romans 12:9-13, Let love be genuine. Abhor what is evil; hold fast to what is good. Love one another with brotherly affection. Outdo one another in showing honor. Do not be slothful in zeal, be fervent in spirit, serve the Lord. Rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer. Contribute to the needs of the saints and seek to show hospitality.
We all know how much we appreciate someone who is genuine. What could happen if we really took these simple things to heart? Are we willing to show others honor instead of seeking our own? Are we willing to serve the lord in all that we do being fervent in spirit? And when tribulation comes, will we recognize God’s presence? Do we really pray without ceasing or only when we want something? Do we seek to be good stewards of all He has given us to show hospitality in His name?
Help us to keep our eyes on You in all of our relationships!
