Those of the Gentiles who turn to God.
Acts 15:19-20, Therefore my judgment is that we should not trouble those of the Gentiles who turn to God, but should write to them to abstain from the things polluted by idols, and from sexual immorality, and from what has been strangled, and from blood.
The Jewish believers heard Paul and Barnabas’ testimony about the Lord moving in signs and wonders among the Gentile believers. They understood the scriptures, that the Lord would call forth the Gentiles who are His own. And then they asked only that the Gentiles stay away from those things that were a customary part of the worship of idols, and were particularly abhorrent to the Jews. How wonderful that the bond we have in Christ can bring together the nations of the world!
We give You thank for believers in every nation, transformed by Your grace and mercy!
