The dead will hear the voice of the Son of God.

John 5:24-26, “Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life. He does not come into judgment, but has passed from death to life. Truly, truly, I say to you, an hour is coming, and is now here, when the dead will hear the voice of the Son of God, and those who hear will live. For as the Father has life in himself, so he has granted the Son also to have life in himself.”

We who have heard His voice know very well that it is not by works of righteousness that we are saved. We know that we were dead in our sin and trespasses, and that we had no power of our own. This gives us no room for pride, and we must give Him thanks for the life that we now live, by His grace and mercy. There are others who will hear his voice, and we are blessed to be a part of all that He is doing. Are we listening for His voice, to know what He is doing?

Give us ears to hear Your voice; use us in Your plans today, that we may proclaim Your name to others!
