"Come, See"

John 4:27-30, Just then his disciples came back. They marveled that he was talking with a woman, but no one said, “What do you seek?” or, “Why are you talking with her?” So the woman left her water jar and went away into town and said to the people, “Come, see a man who told me all that I ever did. Can this be the Christ?” They went out of the town and were coming to him.

The woman left her original purpose, to bring water, already overflowing with the living water that Jesus promised. In her new purpose, she found those who knew her best and pointed the way to Jesus. She didn’t have to know everything about Him, but just pointed the way for the and left it for His word to do the rest! We read later that they believed first by her testimony but then came to believe in him after hearing for themselves that He is the Savior of the world. Are we faithful to tell all that He has done that others may come to Him to know Him?

Give us boldness to tell others all you have done, that Your own words of life may transform their hearts and minds by the power of Your Holy Spirit!
