All things are possible with God.

Mark 10:23-27, And Jesus looked around and said to his disciples, “How difficult it will be for those who have wealth to enter the kingdom of God!” And the disciples were amazed at his words. But Jesus said to them again, “Children, how difficult it is to enter the kingdom of God! It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich person to enter the kingdom of God.” And they were exceedingly astonished, and said to him, “Then who can be saved?” Jesus looked at them and said, “With man it is impossible, but not with God. For all things are possible with God.”

Nearly everyone in our nation is incredibly rich. We are warned in other scripture about being distracted by the deceitfulness of riches and the cares of this world. Do we see ourselves as stewards, for the things of this world are fleeting? Even in the time of these disciples, the rich were viewed as blessed; Jesus warns about those riches becoming idolatry, challenging us to put God first. The disciples are right in asking how it is then that anyone can be saved? As we realize we are unable to do anything to be saved, he invites us in to the possibilities of God. He has made available his amazing grace in Christ Jesus, and invites us to receive him!

We give thanks that our entry into your kingdom is by your amazing grace and does not depend upon our own righteousness, but by your power through the cross!
