He it is that bears much fruit.

John 15:1, 4-5, Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit by itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in me. I am the vine; you are the branches. Whoever abides in me and I in him, he it is that bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing.

Jesus tells us “I am the true vine, and my Father is the vinedresser.” We all know what happens to a branch that snaps due to wind in a storm. It may appear to be alive for a brief time, but it quickly dies and must be pruned and burned. Abiding in the vine is vital for a branch to bear fruit, as is pruning of a healthy branch that it may produce more fruit! As we abide in him, and his word abides in us, we produce fruit to glorify the Father!

Thank you for sustaining us that we may produce more of your fruit and bring glory to the Father!
