“I am the door.”

John 10:9-11, I am the door. If anyone enters by me, he will be saved and will go in and out and find pasture. The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life and have it abundantly. I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep.

Jesus is not only our bread of life, our source of living water and the way, the truth and the life: he is the good shepherd, the door by which we may be saved. As a shepherd, he is our gives us restoration, protection, correction and abundant provision. He is the one who seeks the lost, who never gives up until he finds us. He offers the ultimate protection in laying down his own life for us. He provides correction when his own are going astray. And he gives us abundant provision, leading us by the still waters, restoring our souls. How amazing is his grace towards us!

We thank you for your grace and peace that covers us and for laying your life down for us, and for your goodness and mercy that follows us all the days of our lives, that we may dwell in the house of the Lord forever!
