For the Father himself loves you.

John 16:26-28, “In that day you will ask in my name, and I do not say to you that I will ask the Father on your behalf; for the Father himself loves you, because you have loved me and have believed that I came from God. I came from the Father and have come into the world, and now I am leaving the world and going to the Father.”

We are blessed to live in that day, to have the promised Holy Spirit to seal, lead, guide, advise and intercede for us. Even when we don’t know how to pray, he does. And we have the certainty given to us here that because of our belief and love for the son, the Father himself loves us and hears our prayer. And we also know that Jesus even now intercedes before the throne of grace on our behalf!

We give you thanks that no matter what happens you hear our cry to you, O Lord!
