Saved through him.
John 3:16-17, “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him.”
We see the astonishing simplicity and truth of the gospel of Jesus Christ in a love that goes far beyond any other love we experience in our lives. The world has been in rebellion against God, fully undeserving of any love. He looks beyond that to provide for those who believe in him a salvation so complete and marvelous that we are able to stand before God upright despite our many flaws and failures! How amazing is his grace towards us in Christ.
We thank you that you have not abandoned us in our rebellion, but have pulled us out of the muck, you have washed us and set us before you by the power of your Son, Jesus Christ and his perfect sacrifice!
