He who God raised up did not see corruption.
Acts 13:36-39, For David, after he had served the purpose of God in his own generation, fell asleep and was laid with his fathers and saw corruption, but he whom God raised up did not see corruption. Let it be known to you therefore, brothers, that through this man forgiveness of sins is proclaimed to you, and by him everyone who believes is freed from everything from which you could not be freed by the law of Moses.
Paul makes no excuses for the exclusivity of Jesus Christ; he who had no sin became sin for us that we might become the righteousness of God. And through him when we receive him, he adopts us as his own children, born again, free forever from the curse of sin. The law of Moses has power only to demonstrate to us our great need for his amazing gift!
We thank you for your amazing gift, for adopting us and for breathing your new life upon us by the power of your Holy Spirit!
