Of this man’s offspring.
Acts 13:23, Of this man’s offspring God has brought to Israel a Savior, Jesus, as he promised.
The promise was given immediately after the fall of Adam and Eve in the garden, the promise of a seed that would redeem the world. And it continued through Abraham, he and Sarah “as good as dead,” miraculously conceiving to have a son Isaac, who carried the promise on through the generations to David, “a man after God’s own heart.” Through his line we come to the fulfillment of the long promised seed in Jesus Christ, Emmanuel, and it is by him we are saved from our sin! How amazing is God’s plan.
