Peter again denied it.
John 18:25-26, One of the servants of the high priest, a relative of the man whose ear Peter had cut off, asked, “Did I not see you in the garden with him?” Peter again denied it, and at once a rooster crowed.
Peter came to the end of his own strength, but behind it there was a purpose. Jesus had prayed for him, that his faith may not fail, “And when you have turned again, strengthen your brothers.” Though our own strength may fail us, the Lord is every faithful! His power is made perfect in my weakness.
While we are weak, you are strong; give us your strength for today, O Lord!
