The accuser.
Revelation 12:10-11, And I heard a loud voice in heaven, saying, “Now the salvation and the power and the kingdom of our God and the authority of his Christ have come, for the accuser of our brothers has been thrown down, who accuses them day and night before our God. And they have conquered him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, for they loved not their lives even unto death.”
The early believers knew there is an accuser, for many of them chose a martyr’s death rather than recount their faith in the resurrected Lord Jesus Christ. A person would not die for a lie, or even a strong belief; these believers knew beyond knowing who their redeemer is and that He lives! When we put our trust in Him, we also have His promised Holy Spirit, in Him we are more than conquerers by the blood of the Lamb and the word of our testimony. In a time of comfort and safety, are we distracted by temporary pleasures, or do we allow Him to stir our affections and guide us?
Stir our affections for You, Lord, fill us with Your Holy Spirit!
