Christ died for our sins.

1 Corinthians 15:3-6, For I delivered to you as of first importance what I also received: that Christ died for our sins in accordance with the Scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day in accordance with the Scriptures, and that he appeared to Cephas, then to the twelve.

This is the good news in its essence. It’s obvious from looking at this world that things are broken, that sin entered the world through the disobedience of one man. The very essence of every person but one has been altered by sin. But God in His great mercy sent Christ to set us free from the power of sin. And not only did He die for us, but He was raised by the amazing power of God and has sent us His Holy Spirit to empower us, that we might allow Him to work through us today!

Come, Holy Spirit, work in and through me today to accomplish all that You desire to do!
