A kingdom that shall never be destroyed.

Daniel 2:44-45, “And in the days of those kings the God of heaven will set up a kingdom that shall never be destroyed, nor shall the kingdom be left to another people. It shall break in pieces all these kingdoms and bring them to an end, and it shall stand forever, just as you saw that a stone was cut from a mountain by no human hand, and that it broke in pieces the iron, the bronze, the clay, the silver, and the gold. A great God has made known to the king what shall be after this. The dream is certain, and its interpretation sure.”

Daniel shows the king his dream and also the interpretation of it to be a succession of kingdoms from a head of gold to feet of iron and clay. And most importantly, he shows the supremacy of the kingdom of God and His Messiah, the chief cornerstone, who will one day break in pieces all the flawed kingdoms of men. While we look to the day of His coming, when He will return as perfect prophet, priest and king, we are here for a purpose. He has given us many gifts, starting with our faith itself; He has given us His Spirit as our counselor, and He has prepared many good works from before the foundation of the world that we should walk in them. As we keep our eyes upon Jesus, and long for His return, let us be faithful to walk in His good works today!

We worship and adore You; guide our steps today into Your good works as we walk to bring glory to Your name, that others may come to know You!
