Your bodies are members of Christ.
1 Corinthians 6:12-15a, All things are lawful for me, but not all things are profitable. All things are lawful for me, but I will not be mastered by anything. Food is for the stomach, and the stomach is for food; but God will do away with both of them. Yet the body is not for immorality, but for the Lord; and the Lord is for the body. Now God has not only raised the Lord, but will also raise us up through His power. Do you not know that your bodies are members of Christ?
We live amidst unbelievable blessing, a lifestyle that would be the envy even of many ancient kings. Paul challenges us to keep things in perspective; there’s nothing wrong with enjoying a fine meal, but we must not let that desire consume us. He has given us such abundance that we might look for the ways to use not only our abundance but also our bodies to bring glory to His Name.
Show me how to live as a member of Christ today, Lord.
