The word of the cross.
1 Corinthians 1:18-19, For the word of the cross is to those who are perishing foolishness, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God. For it is written,“I WILL DESTROY THE WISDOM OF THE WISE, AND THE CLEVERNESS OF THE CLEVER I WILL SET ASIDE.”
This is something to keep in mind; as a friend of mine once observed, common sense is the place where all of our senses come together. His sense is uncommon sense, and He speaks to us in many situation and in many ways that may well appear foolish to those in the world. What could happen if we pray to hear His still, small voice better each day?
Father, I thank You for Your wisdom for today in the power of the cross; speak to me clearly in a way that I can understand, for Your servant is ready to obey!
