You are a temple of God.

1 Corinthians 3:16, Do you not know that you are a temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwells in you? If any man destroys the temple of God, God will destroy him, for the temple of God is holy, and that is what you are.

Yesterday I went to an exhibit of Pompeii artifacts, mainly Roman frescoes that are truly amazing in their color and design. Most of them focus on the mythical “gods” of their time, and stories surrounding them. Many temples were built in that time, thought to contain some deity, and many came to worship. Imagine approaching the temple of the living God, a place where we know for certain He dwells, knowing that He is present inside that place! What would my attitude be as I approached? Amazingly, each of us as believers is otreat my ne of His temples! Do I approach others recognizing His presence with reverence? Do I own body as His temple?

Open our eyes to see Your glory in every believer and in our own bodies, Lord!
