Holding fast to the head.

Colossians 2:18-19, Let no one keep defrauding you of your prize by delighting in self-abasement and the worship of the angels, taking his stand on visions he has seen, inflated without cause by his fleshly mind, and not holding fast to the head, from whom the entire body, being supplied and held together by the joints and ligaments, grows with a growth which is from God.

It’s easy to lose sight of what He has done for us and think that what is important is what we can do for Him. This only distracts us from seeking to know Him better, to allow Him to be our source of nourishment and growth. He wants to grow us in ways that go far beyond anything in this world, not for our own glory but to bring glory to His name.

I want to grow in You more each day, holding fast to the head Lord Jesus!
